Luci&Ombre is the first comparative film studies journal open to multicultural and multidisciplinary dialogue, aiming to redefine film culture as a new field of study.
We are developing new tools for reading and interpretation that allow us to understand cinema in a deeper way.
Luci&Ombre offers in-depth analyses of films, exploring all aspects of the creative process, from conception to distribution, and involving all the actors and actresses, directors, screenwriters, and various other professionals who contribute to the making of a film.
"Luci&Ombre" is a magazine that offers a fresh and innovative perspective on film criticism, aiming to go beyond the analysis of cinema as a mass cultural product and consumable good. The magazine's goal is to develop philosophical and theoretical tools for reading and interpreting film in a more profound way.
The need to identify new tools for reading and interpretation is increasingly urgent. Our goal is to propose and foster a dialogue that brings critics and audiences closer together, combining a philosophical and theoretical approach with an engaging, accessible, and passionate presentation.
